40...40 is either a large or a considerably small number, depending on the way you view it or percieve. To me it's a little bit of both. To me it's a number that will make me free, a number that will end it all, a number that will start things anew. It is roughly 40 days until I graduate high school. 40 days until freedom. After graduation from high school evreything will be different...I will have entered the real world. College will be starting and then for sure it will be very different. That will be the start of true self dependence. As a friend of mine said, "it's beginning to get bittersweet". And I completely agree with her. Sweet in the sense that it will end all that is associated with high school, the drama, the routine, the work, the stress, etc. Bitter in the sense that I will not have all the friends that I've come to know and love close by, and really that about it for me. But still, overall I cannot wait until im out of that place that I can't stand, the place where I have to get out of bed and sit around for roughly 7-8 hours a day. But still, I will miss some aspects of it all.

Everlasting Light
"Love is the coal that makes this train roll."
April 8th, 2011
Countless times I've listened to The Black Keys, a band from Akron, Ohio. And today I decided to listen to them again. My album of choice was their newest one entitled "Brothers". With a 15 track playlist of an bluesy-almost pop sound, it's definitely worth the listen. "Everlasting Light" is the title of the first track. And even though I've listened to the song who knows how many times, It always is something worth listening to me. Along with The Black Keys I've been listening immensely to Explosions In The Sky, Beirut, Jónsi, Sigur Rós, Mumford & Sons, The Avett Brothers, and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. These few bands make up only a small fraction of my music library. Every day I listen to something different, different genres, artists, albums and so forth. I always enjoy expanding my musical variety, library and overall opinions and open mindedness towards new artists, genres and such. Alternative, blues, folk, indie, world, hip-hop, rap, bluegrass, dub-step, etc., these are just a few examples of what have sparked my interest as of late. Im always open to exploring new styles of music and artists.
Music is a privilege.
